Shot in Madrid Spain during 2008, this documentary explores immigrant perspectives on the symbolic violence of Madrid’s urban graffiti.

In a foreign country, sometimes, the only thing that feels like home is graffiti you’ve never seen before.

This video will debut at Dark Sparkle (a conceptual dance party) for Kurt Vaughn’s 30th birthday in the Technocultural Studies building at UC Davis.

Dark Sparkle is the potent mix of the mysterious and the dangerous that makes something irresistibly attractive, it’s what causes people to push their limits to the point of insanity, it’s what causes nice guys to finish last, it’s that unexplainable quality that pulls people to the dark side.
